My teeth are one of my least favorite features. I have naturally discolored teeth (thanks mom!) so I'm constantly fighting to keep them white. I'm not innocent in all of this either, I seriously adore tea, coffee, & blueberry anything. Crest's 3D White slogan states If You're Not Whitening, You're Yellowing & it is 100% true. When I am not actively whitening my teeth, I lose the white teeth I am desperately building towards. When we moved here, I stopped using my whitening strips. It has nothing to do the product not working, I honestly was just overwhelmed & slacked. Big mistake. Within a few weeks, I noticed the shade change. It was terrible. I was angry with myself & immediately started using them again. The difference was undeniable! My gums are quite sensitive so I can't use them daily but I do try to use them weekly to every other week. If I'm not whitening, I really am yellowing. That is NOT okay.
Why do I pick Crest 3D Whitestrips over other forms of whitening? For once thing, it seriously works. It gets my teeth visibly whiter after each use. The kit retails for $49.99 which is significantly cheaper than professional treatments. My favorite thing about these strips in particular is ease of application. A few years ago, you had to pretty much set aside time for whitening. Now they are merely an addition to my morning routine. These seal so well to my drink that I can still go along with drinking my water & working out. Easy peasy.
Crest is hilarious. They sent me possibly one of the most fun campaign ideas in a long time. They sent me a teeth yellower! Now don't freak out, it brushes right off. SO why did they send it? So you could see this photo of my husband!
"Hey hunny, what would you still love me if I had yellow teeth?" I asked.
"Huh? Yeah sure," he answered.
"Good because I had an accident...," I replied.

I have done the whitening treatment at the dentist twice, which had the best results, and my dad is the dentist so it was free :) but it took forevverrr and i hated sitting there. I have tried the gel and its so gross. right now I am using whitening mouthwash, which is the easiest, but it doesn't work all too well :(

ReplyDeleteI have used these strips when I got my braces removed! They work wonders. I have resorted to using baking soda to whiten though, because it's so much cheaper!
ReplyDeleteI have used Crest Strips in the past and they are definitely my favorite way to whiten. I also tried a gel that you put in a plastic mold and I hated that.

ReplyDeleteMy teeth have gotten more sensitive since I've used even the over the counter whitening strips and that has been about 3 times. I have a slightly more yellow tone than some people but...I've kind of come to accept it. I drink tea everyday but I don't smoke (that really yellows them) so I use whitening strips only for special occasions where people might take pictures. I worked in a dental lab and orthodontist office and bleaching ones teeth all the time can damage ones gums and teeth.

ReplyDeleteI can see that Crest made a good sense in making their slogan. If you don’t whiten your teeth, there's really no possibility that they will stay the way they are. Asking for the reason why there’s loyalty on this product is out of question. It’s just that it really works for you, which is really great.
