Naturally, I am quite fair & fine with it through winter. My arms & back will tan a bit in warmer weather from the sunlight but other than that I'm pretty starkly white. My legs are so white that almost every self tanner looks bright orange for months! That is so not the spring look that is in fashion! There is also the smudging issue, discoloration, & then the time I had a self tanner that flaked off making me look like a reptile. All over my body. It was gross. & the week I had a girlfriends beach party. Oddly enough, turtlenecks weren't acceptable attire!
Now don't let me convince you self tanners don't work because they honestly do! Once you learn to choose the right products for you, its a golden tan from there. First of all, not all self tanners are made equal or require the same routine. Some are gradual, some are sprays, some are meant specifically to be used on certain areas of the body...the possibilities are pretty much endless. Jergens has come out with some new & reformulated products & were kind enough to send some my way. Over the next few months, I'll be trying out some new products from Jergens & sharing my thoughts with you.
Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer for Fair to Medium Skin Tones
First off, this lotion smells quite nice which is an excellent suprise! The new Jergens boasts "Finally! Great color without ordor!" & although I haven't applied it yet I can usually smell it in the bottle. I've used Jergens Daily Moisturizer before & I'm excited to begin again! Perfect to keep a tan from fading without being an instant 5 shades darker!
Jergens Natural Glow 3 Days to Glow Moisturizer for Fair to Medium Skin Tones
Again, this moisturizer smells very nice in the bottle! When you need so see coloring fast, this is what you're supposed to use! While I prefer something a bit gradual to begin with I think this is the perfect option before a bit event! I might actually use this to begin my self tanning then keep it going with the gradual option.
Jergens Natural Glow Face Daily Moisturizer for Fair to Medium Skin Tones
I love that there is a drugstore option for facial tanner! This self tanner is also oil free & contains SPF 20 for perfect day time use. This will be excellent to help me match my neck/face to my body! I know a lot of people just buy foundation to match their body but that means I have to wear foundation all the time & that just isn't for me!
So there you have it! I will start using them right this minute (okay actually tonight!) so I'll have lots to report back in the coming months.
